I thought the format of this book was unique as each chapter is a different therapy session for Annie. We never get the feedback from the therapist, so it’s almost like a dear diary way of explaining what happened to her. Annie has this dark sarcastic rawness to her which makes reading the hell she went through a little more digestible from a reader’s perspective.

Annie was abducted and held captive in a cabin in the wilderness. We get a day by day account of what she went through. ⚠️ In my opinion it is one big trigger warning for anyone who may be sensitive to abduction or sexual assault. Annie is strong, brave, and able to escape her capture, but that’s not where her problems end. Why Annie? (4⭐️)
