This was my first Piper Rayne book and it definitely will not be my last. I loved everything about this book! This book can easily be read as a standalone, so if you have not read the first 3 books in the series, you can still read this one and not be lost.
I wanted to read this book based on the cover alone! I am a sucker for a Whiskey Ginger cover. But this book was so much more then just the cover.
I loved everything about Brooks and Lottie's story. The way that Brooks has been pining for Lottie forever and Lottie finally catching up was so good! I love a good it's always been her trope and then thrown in a Vegas accidental wedding and I am sold!
I love how Brooks fought for Lottie and was not going to let her get off easy with an annulment. This man is obsessed with her and he finally has the opportunity to have what he is always wanted. He just has to convince her that he is the man for her and always has been. And boy did he convince her.
The banter between Brooks and Lottie was top tier and had my giddy and kicking my feet the entire time. I immersively read this book and that made the experience that much better. The narrators did an amazing job bring these characters to life. I could listen to Stephen Dexter's voice all damn day!
I will say that I despise Brook's family and the way that they treated both Lottie and him. I was so glad that he was done with them by the end so that he could have his HEA that he so deserves.
