The Last Windwitch by Jennifer Adam

5.0

I really do like witch stories, as I've said before. This one is a perfect middle grade introduction to the huge world of high fantasy; the world building here is everything that a reader needs to be in the story without being so much as to become overwhelming. Brida is a lovely protagonist to go on the journey with, as are the supporting characters we meet (particularly fond of Mother Magdi and Burdock the pony, but that's just me).

Excellent for collections looking to include a broad range of fantasy, as well as for anyone who likes witch stories (or simply stories of magic).
