The Moment of Psycho: How Alfred Hitchcock Taught America to Love Murder by David Thomson

2.0

Seriously, I could fill up this entire box with what could have been done better with this book. The book brings up a lot of points that I'd heard before, and while yes, cinematically Psycho is a wonderful movie, I thought this book would touch on the anthropology of the time period, which it does not. Did Alfred Hitchcock teach America to love murder? No, I don't think so and I don't think the book proves its point. I was really sadden at how this book fell so flat.
