The Woman in Me
by Britney Spears
Another memoir!
Once again, memoirs are hard to rate. I don't think you can give a rating to someone's life, but I do think you can comment on the writing and literary aspects of a memoir. This one was not very well-written, unfortunately. It was repetitive and there was a lot of ranting. It made you feel like there was still a lot of raw anger left, with very little introspection. The pacing also felt a bit off. Obviously, the story is incredibly interesting. It's insane that this is real life, even if I feel like the narrator could be a bit unreliable at times. The system really failed her.
3/5.
