This is the story of how Genie (the mama bear for most of the ladies in this series) and Edmund met at a naughty house party, which was a fun concept.
Genie has been in deep mourning for the last 2 years following the loss of her first husband when her cousin tricks her into coming to a matchmaking house party.
Edmund has been infatuated with her for 20 years but never thought he'd have a chance with her. Serendipity seems to be giving him a second try, he only has to convince her that she can marry for love twice in one lifetime.
There are 5 epilogues in this book, most of which focus on the characters from the first half of the series, I was happy to see them all again.
The epilogues almost all happen at Xmas which is apropos as it's next week :)
Even though this book is a prequel, I'd recommend reading it last so you know who all the characters are.
