A well loved book that lives up to its reputation. This is not my first Austen book so I am not surprised by the writing style. As with any classic written then, the large cast of characters tend to confuse me as well as the irritating (imo) way of addressing 1 person differently so we have to remember both their first and last names. But the romance was as cute as can be, and very worth reading. Above the romance though, is the comedy. Mr Bennett is a hoot and their reactions to Mrs Bennett were hilarious as well. Not the mention Elizabeth’s snarky replies to those who saw themselves as holier than thou. I definitely enjoyed those a lot more than the romance side of things. The plot was rather simple and easy to follow but definitely well executed.
