I read this for the modern parallels (please help me I have become paranoid). I really went off the deep end because I wrote 32 full-page notes on this book.
I remember reading this in 2020 and most of it went over my head. But this time around was actually FRIGHTENING. There were whole pages that reminded me of the things that are happening today.
I do think that one section when Winston reads The Book was quite dull and took away from the book. It paused the whole plot and did not say anything new (which was the point, but I still didn’t enjoy reading it)
