shms 's review for:
The Marriage Bed
by Laura Lee Guhrke
Not an easy romance to read. I read this when it was first published and hated it, absolutely hated it. How could the h forgive the H, I just couldn't understand. I'd probably have given this a 1 star review.
Reading this some 7 years on, this tale of a selfish man who comes to understand the consequences of his actions and the h who has to accept this less than perfect H, was at times painful and other times infuriating. Gurkhe's portrayal of a H who needs a hard kick up the a**e well, is masterful.
It may be an age thing but this time round, my interpretation of the book is so much more different and I looked deeper than just the literal word.
