Seriously, the dichotomy between the Duke and the Man, between Bewcastle and Wulfric, and her loving the man and not being overwhelmed by the duke, and him needing her to love the man because he had been the duke for so long he had forgotten how to be the man was so beautiful and understated and I loved it. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.
Normally I'm not a fan of the bickering as flirting, but I don't think that was what was going on. He was fighting against all the rules of being a duke that had been pounded into him. And she wasn't going to be cowed by the duke the way he was used to everyone bowing and scraping to him. And he was strong enough not to be threatened by her outgoing personality and she brought out the best in him and he loved her for who she was, and it's totally Pride and Prejudice and I love it.

finally invited her to Lindsey Hall for Easter, I literally squeed out loud because he WANTED TO SHOW HER THAT HE REALLY DOES HAVE A HEART! AND THEN THE DOVECOTE! AND HER KEEPING HIS QUIZZING GLASS!!!!
