Dragon by Clive Cussler

5.0

I absolutely loved this tenth installment of Dirk Pitt!! This book was even more action packed than the last two, which is saying something if you loved the last ones as much as I did! I was expecting some excitement, and the title of the book really drew me to it from the beginning. Especially for anyone who likes books on dragons! I did not read the summery for this one, and I am kind of glad I didn't I find it gives me two many expectations and makes me impatient. Does anyone else feel that way, or is it just me? Have you ever just picked up a book and read it with any idea of a plot line? By not reading it I had no idea of what is going to happen, except for the vague way the title of the book (Dragon) is going to be connected to the plot. Because all of Clive's titles are in some way connected.

Dirk Pitt has to save the United States in this one, again, yes I know he does that a lot lately and you would figure it would get old. Somehow though, through sheer imaginative genius and the willingness to to the unbelievable in his books Clive pulled us through this installment quickly, making it a page tuner you can't put down. Now with this book it has, Paul Kemprecos as an author as well. Do I know who that is? No. Do you know who it is? Does he have a series of his own? Because if he does I would love to check it out after reading this book!

As I said before this book does have a few things that is quite unbelievable, that is something some people might not like, but to me it was another thing that drew me into the book. The mystery, the suspense, intense scene's, and the unknown of the unbelievable parts, of having no idea of what might happen, it makes for the best plot to me.

Also in this one Clive Cussler makes an appearance!! I found that to be truly ingenious, funny and interesting to see how he would interact with the characters in their element. Altogether a five star book in my opinion a great round of cheers to the authors, I can't wait to get my hands on the next!
