A densely detailed and well told version of the October Revolution of 1917. 100 years after, the Russian Revolution holds many lessons for all, socialists and non-socialists alike. The hopes, aspirations and the unrest of the people are well talked about in this book.

My only quibble, if any, is that the narration is slow and is detailed to a pain sometimes, as any good historical work should be. History is just not my thing, I guess - but if you're interested in historical works and a human-centred retelling of history, this is a great book.
