My first read, surprisingly enough. A classic for a reason, and full of repetitions that make it fun to read aloud. Still, there's not a lot of depth to it, and while some of the things that didn't make it into the movie are fun, in general I think the movie made some changes that make the story more interesting and meaningful (especially regarding Dorothy's companions).
