I'll Keep You Safe by Peter May

3.0

I enjoyed the pace of this story but it's probably the closest thing I've read to a Dan Brown or a Judith Kranz in years, and that's not a compliment. Incredibly cliched, full of very trite character stereotypes- the overworked guilty single parent, the sad heroine who needs her husband, the appallingly excessive fashion designer-just hilarious. The end is highly predictable and disappointingly brief. I needed to turn the pages to find out what happened but now I'm wondering why I've read it! 3 stars for accidental fun content.
