Honestly, I didn't like this book at all. The premise was fine, the characters were fine, the ideas were ok. But after reading so much SF that has interesting critiques of the world, this one falls so flat that it becomes uninteresting. The characters have no intrinsic motivations, no chemistry, no good critique of what the world could actually become, and take the most idiotic decisions to make everything fall apart in the end. It's not poignant, it's dumb. What gives it more stars is the art style, which, although I personally don't like it, it's the best for the type of story they want to tell, even when the story isn't good.
