The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

3.75

There is a reason why I don't read historical romances, and this book writes about it. Men in history are horrible and I don't like to be reminded of it. Every time Simon or Anthony and a little bit of Collin would try to pose some type of ownership and dominance towards Daphne, I got the ick.
However, I try to look past men to enjoy the story. Which I did, and I am glad I did. The story was very romantic. I loved the one-liners that I regrettably swooned over.

I started reading this book because I didn't want to wait for season 3 of Bridgerton. It was interesting to see the differences the show made compared to the book. Because I watched the show first, I kept getting the feeling that I knew what was going to be coming next, but I was pleasantly surprised when the scene wasn't the same.
