Grace Randolph's Supurbia Vol. 1 by Grace Randolph, Russell Dauterman

Real Housewifesves of America’s Superheroes. Is this a case of „behind every strong man there is a strong woman!“?

That would be incredibly sexist and so out-dated... it‘s deeper than that, but still full of boring clichées. There is a token black wife, a token gay guy, a token stay-at-home-husband, etc. The superheroes a one-dimensional copies of Marvel/DC/Watchmen superheroes.

The story is pretty uninteresting. No suspense. The only thing I liked and would maybe look at more—the son developing powers instead of the daughter and the angle of the kids in general. The wives were very meh. The superhero storyline was irrelevant.

I am not sure this thing passes the Bechdel test. And it‘s written by a woman, *sigh*.

Not looking for more of this.
