The Murder in the Woods by Shruti Priyaa

5.0

So The Murder in the Woods is the second book in the series ‘Sinners and Secrets’. Like the first book, this book is also very short. Again she made me meddlesome as I started reading the book.

This book is about a boy who is about 6-7 years old and his body is found in a forest. Raunak Sharma, the detective gets a call from the forest officer and he leaves for the site.

The autopsy results brought forward a very interesting fact that the dead body is 2-3 years old. Then, Raunak Sharma asks his tech guy to bring the files of missing children from past 2-3 years. He finds out there were 6 children missing 2 years ago on same day including the one whose dead body was found.

He also finds out, Samaira, the journalist has 2 twin sisters and they were also reported missing 2 years also. Then he asks to bring all the parents of missing childern and asks them some questions. He doesn’t find anything relative. But at the same time one of the twin sisters tell him that, the kidnapper has a cross shaped tattoo on his neck.

Who killed that innocent child?
Will the detective be able to find the murderer?
Read this book to find what happened!

I loved reading this book too. The plot and storyline are very good. It is very easy to read. The cover is relevant to the story. The story is very gripping. It just took me 30 minutes to read this book.
I recommend this book to those who love reading crime and murder thrillers.
