When I was first reading this book, I really did not enjoy it. I felt like I was in high school again, which is something that no one ever wants to feel. I then realized that was the genius of it all. Teens will love this book, it has many things that they can relate to *divorce, self-confidence issues, etc... all the high school issues that they face* It was written by a teen so I think it allows her to reach the audience better than say a 40 year old writing the same thing. I will mention that this book does contain sex *not graphic sex, but just the mention of having sex* so I would recommend it for older teens (16 on up). Overall, once I got past that sinking feeling of high school recaps, I really started to enjoy it.
