Tales of Mystery and Imagination

I was expecting this to lean more horror and the ones that did like The Facts in the Case of M Valdemar, The Black Cat, The Telltale Heart and The Fall of the House of Usher were enjoyable, but the ones that leaned more adventure just felt like a drag.
I think the style - of someone recounting a series of events rather than you really experiencing them - didn't always work for me and made me feel like there was just so much drawn out and unnecessary description. Glad I gave it a go but since so few were working for me kind of ended up just picking and choosing ones to actually try, and overall I feel the M Valdemar one was the real stand out for me! Actually kind of spooky and an interesting concept!
