Axis by Robert Charles Wilson
4.0
This was really good.
Really fun as well.
I was scared there for a sec.
The other reviews said that it disappointed them greatly or some such.
Maybe it's just me but i thought it was wonderful.
Is it as wonderful as the first?
I'll have to think on that, then i'll come back here with an edit to speak my piece.
Now that I think about it, i can see one reason why maybe some people didn't like axis as much, maybe it's the character work that isn't as developed or as wide-spanning here?
And anyway, when i see the reviews, some of them say they were bored out of their mind, some of them say it's ok some say it's good.
I'm thinking reviews aren't necessarily the best thing to listen to, but one can't help it.
None of this matters though because I personally enjoyed it and i genuinely don't know where the people that got bored got bored because i just ran through the whole book and i did not struggle with that at all.
I *still* don't understand some things that were revealed at the end and perhaps i will reread some portions of the book to try and get it.
Was nice seeing Diane again, and felt sorry at the end there, i don't really know why she decided not to 'go with Isaac', but she will remain in my shelf for as long as i can afford it.
Lise and Brian; gonna be honest i didn't care much for Brian.
Lise is ... eh not bad i guess .. i liked her enough
I actually cared the most about Isaac, Moi, and Turk tbh
Nothing and no one comes close to the OG of course (Tyler), but y'know
The mysteries of the Hypotheticals deepen and also intrigue me and also im gonna re-read portions as i said.
