I was so excited for Callous Prince after I saw that it was about Sloan and Lennox because I really wanted to read their story after getting hints of them in Wicked Idol and they did not disappoint! I’m a sucker for a good bully enemies to lovers romance and this definitely delivered. It was full of delicious fire, intensity, and tension and I absolutely lurved it!
I already really loved Sloane going into Callous Prince because I loved her vibe in Wicked Idol and while it obviously felt different actually being in her head, it just made me love her more. Sloane is a strong, capable, badsass heroine full of determination, integrity, and fierceness. She’s very direct and I appreciated everything about her — she’s awesome!
I figured I would probably love Lennox, but I had no idea just how much. The dude’s definitely got his issues, but man, it’s undeniable the way he feels about Sloane. Yeah, he wasn’t the best in the past, but you get to see how much he admires, respects, and loves her strength. Lennox is a total goner for her and I really loved that and the way he truly saw her. He was actually really sweet and romantic too which I wasn’t expecting but completely melted my heart. He was the best and he’s my fave hero in the series right now!
Wicked Idol had felt pretty chill, but while Callous Prince felt a little more intense, it wasn’t bonkers either. It was so passionate, exciting, and entertaining and it made me laugh, smile, shake my head, and do double takes. It left me feeling all warm and gooey inside — I really had a lot of fun reading it!
