This book wasn’t what I was expecting, and the poeticism of the writing was a little lost on me. In some places the writing is beautiful and in others feels unfinished. The darkness in this book is present and often well described but I kept waiting for something more.
I found it impressive how drastically the writing style changed between the characters but it didn't work super well for me. The male characters often felt unrealistic, and the whole book I felt like something was missing. The ending felt abrupt and a little unsatisfying.
Overall an interesting and dark read and a story that hasn’t been told before.
