Pit Stop
by Ellis Mae
Dual POV
Found Family
Cultural Diversity
PTSD Representation
LGBTQ+ Representation
Service Dog
Trauma Healing
I'll be real honest, I absolutely picked up this book solely on the fact that it was a male/male romance and even more so the fact that there was a service dog on the cover! That being said, while Inu is an important character (and the goodest girl), this book is so much more. It dives into the very real struggles of PTSD for soldiers in a 1st person POV, and it is POWERFUL. Add on lots of other very real issues and traumas (not being specific because no spoilers). Ellis Mae writes in a very real and very moving way. You'll feel deeply for John and Isa as well as all of their friends. The whole book feels like a good cry. Some heart break at first but it's good for the soul. Absolutely recommend this one (with caution for TWs) with some puppy cuddles
