I won’t be continuing this series

What I liked.
- healthy dom/sub relarionship
-genderbent Hermes.

What I didn’t like
-whole plot of the book is based on a stupid ass lack of communication between Demeter and her daughter.
-that the 12 are appointed. There’s been 3 heras and Zeus is priming Persephone to be the next Hera. That’s annoying and sloppy.
-how hades is supposed to be this non existent figure in Olympus and no one knows about him but then in the underworld all these same people are joining his voyeuristic sex parties. You mean to tell me with all that popularity no one in Olympus will talk about him casually? That’s dumb.
-how pious hades got when he was faced with getting rid of Zeus. Dude killed your parents, ruined your childhood, is going to take and probably kill the woman you love and you’re having a “am I no better than he” self righteous moment of clarity?
-how unclear what we were dealing with. Like why is Hermes able to recall messages in peoples exact voices. Are these people magical in any way? They’re not clear on this.

Props to those who did like it but this retelling wasn’t even a reimagining. It was a completely different thing with characters named after Greek gods.
