I wanted/ expected more of a reciprocated obsession with Carmilla as well as more of a vampiric display of her powers. It wasn’t until right before her death that Laura even discovers it. Laura was intrigued and put off by Carmilla which is valid but still. I enjoyed the writing and the story it just wasn’t all that I expected. After reading the intro and finding out the homophobitized the the story that was based off of two real women in love I had to take off a star.
