Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

4.0

I really enjoyed this book! Turning each page, I was eager and giddy with anticipation! I found myself captivated, laughing, smirking, or letting out a triumphant giggle when Rebecca rose above situations!

I feel people were quite harsh w/some of the reviews, this book is really light-hearted and fun to read. In my younger years, I could definitely relate to Rebecca's shop-a-holic tendencies and pretending bills didn't exist. Y'know and it sounds so silly, how can somebody get into debt? Well, when you're young and something is handed to you, as everything else is, you're not too used to thinking about consequences until it's too late.

Later in life, I too fixed my debt and have great credit standing now, even applied to some of the same cards I paid off and it does make you feel quite accomplished, grown up, and just a whole new side of you starts to emerge. Obviously, this story resonates a lot w/me and unless you are picture perfect, we've all had our struggles with something once in a while.

As long as there is a new day, there is a chance to change whatever is making you unhappy!
