3.5 // The overall story is engaging and unique up until the 70% mark when it becomes rushed. There’s too many convenient moments to hurriedly bring the story to resolution in addition to an info dump for the religious part of the plot. It’s a shame that this part of the story is so under developed; especially considering it blessedly departs from the typical abduction-trafficking trope that most sci-fi/alien romance are built around.
