Wallbanger
by Alice Clayton
ugh. This is not my genre, at all--selected by my book club and I read along.
I struggled with the idealized Northern California mindset, I struggled with the cat, I struggled with the travel, I struggled with just about design and decorating, I struggled with the O, I just really struggled a LOT with this book.
The sex is very vanilla and difficult to read. The Romance is not horrible--there are jumping narative sections that I liked and the text message / phone conversation modern communication stuff is handled well. I think that Clayton can likely write, but this is not a good example--feels like it was written on a schedule and not for love.
Not recommended at all, but three stars to not be a dick--I did struggle...
