This was my first book by this author, and I enjoyed it.
Let me start with the pros. I loved the storyline and both characters. I felt so bad for Zee, to have to go back to a town that turned on her, but then as I read more of Colt's character, I was glad they were not only able to make a mend but fall in love. He was protective of her but was her safe space, even when he thought she betrayed him, and their relationship only grew better as he got to know her again. I loved the history of these two characters; this was something I had not expected it, and it was a nice surprise.
Now the only con is the length of the book. If I would have checked this before reading it, I probably would not have read the entire book. There were a few things that could have been taken out and it still would have been just as good. With this being said, this did not have any effect on my overall rating because I liked it.
