Scary how amazing this book is. Kept putting it down to stretch it out but kept picking it back up 10, 20 mins later because it was so compelling. This story was crazy. You don't find out her name until nearly the end!!!! And the author makes it work, like how! And she was drinking while pregnant on purpose but I still feel so bad for her. She does some really crazy stuff and I just want to jump in and help her out, I couldn't even get mad with her sometimes it was like, damn. This trap is real. Which is hard to get across in a fictional novel with a character who often creates her own barriers. When I'm reading fiction, I feel constantly aware that these people are not real and their problems can often be resolved with just talking to some other character or just applying to a new job or something. And honestly she should have just talked to her boyfriend/mom/doctor etc about everything and maybe talked more about abortion as an option and also applied to a new job but that barrier to where she's not a realy person was not the case here!!!! IT was REAL!! Holy shit!!! Really good book wish I had read it when it came out!!
