3.75 ⭐️ Newman can draw a reader in and endear you to her characters almost instantly. Rocky is “sandwiched” between grown kids and aging parents. At its core, this book is about motherhood, when it’s chosen, when it’s not, and when everything seems out of your control. I enjoyed the bouncing through time while framed in a week on the beach. Brief but impactful.
