Scythe & Sparrow by Brynne Weaver
5.0
4.5 ⭐️ I am so absolutely in love with this series!
The thought of leaving this little psycho family behind is going to make me cry, so I am not going to dwell on it too much. Just know that it opened my eyes to Dark Romances in a way that I don't think it's out there nearly enough. Why is it so hard to find sweet murderers with a moral compass? Like, come on! I'm not asking for that much, right?
Jokes aside, I could never talk highly enough about this series, and about about this book specifically. Fionn Kane was such a beloved character already since we have seen him in previous books multiple times, just like Rose. But really, truly, I don't think I was ready for the ride these two took me in. The slow-burn was slow-burning the absolute f**k out of me. I could not wait to see them rip the bandage out and realize the feelings they had for each other. Honestly, I could never want more. Also, the epilogues almost made me cry. Yes, including the one about the s3x swing. Shut up. We've already talked about how much I love this series.
I want all of the world to read and enjoy this little family, the characters are insane (in all ways) and bask in the absolutely deserved praise that these books have had. Brynne Weaver has some masterful -if slightly unhinged- pen game, and I could not be more obsessed with her work.
Alsooooooo... what was that ending? That thing from that girl at the end? Like seriously, is that a little dangling bait because I want to be hooked, lined and SUNK my teeth into it. I always need more of Brynne Weaver!
