This was a gender-flipped Stepford Wives with definite Get Out vibes and some domestic thriller tropes thrown in. Descriptions of the MC feeling overworked and underappreciated were spot on, especially the focus on the mental load of invisible work of parenting. The middle to end of the book was a bit far-fetched (getting away with murder through networking and hypnotism, apparently ) but the very ending, like the last sentence of the book, was amazingly clever.
