Y’all want to talk about a good book with the audio (Libby) then you’re looking at it. I loved Aaliyah’s character and how she was not willing to settle to have any ol piece of man. The lady was smart, confident, sexy, had style, and could crack a joke. I adore the way Danielle wrote this fmc. Even the friends because they had me cracking up. I know they have to be the next stories that are lined up.

Aaliyah’s story dealt with grieving a loved one, family drama, online dating, health and more. Her family was something else and child she is better than me. I am cool with cutting family off. There’s a difference from being concerned vs being callous towards someone. Uncle Albert should have been in a headlock. Also those parents of hers were doing too much and not enough at the same time.

Her and Ahmad’s back and forth jokes were absolutely hilarious. Glad that he had her back while going on these dates and my gosh those men were trash. The best part was the bond building between these two. I absolutely enjoy reading an authentic friends to lovers story develop between characters. It makes the connection between them more believable. They both got on my nerves not using their words. If they had then we could have gotten more of their romance along with the banter. I get why he acts a certain way at the bar and i caught that early on. Ahmad’s story is heartbreaking and very interesting. He’s a good friend, protector and freak 😈. Their spice was doing it for me.

Real quick though my girl Aaliyah was not using her common sense and being alert to information around. That club scene with Ahmad’s friends for sure let me know what was up with him.

Highlights:
-“Everyone deserves to have a few Cinderella moments. Not just on your wedding day either.”
-“When you’re you, you’ll see what it is you need to see and link up with what’s for you.”
-““Whatever you want me to do.” He broke the kiss as my heavy breasts became exposed. “Whatever you need me to do.” He looked down at my chest and then back into my eyes. “Whatever you ask me to do.””
-The scene in the office at the bar.
