I think this book is a really good example of a heavily character driven thriller, and I’ve realised upon reading it, that that’s not for me. I usually enjoy books focused on unraveling secrets, but I think there wasn’t enough plot for me to truly love it.
I don’t mind unlikeable characters, so I know that’s not the reason I didn’t enjoy this book, I just didn’t feel particularly interested in many of them. I do think that the switching of POVs was done really well, each character had their own distinct voice.
I feel like this had so many elements that I would have loved; a strong setting, posh people falling apart, secrets, etc, but it just didn’t come together in a way that interested me.
(edit: I think this book sent me into a slight reading slump 😭)
