Just changed my rating from 4 stars to 3 literally a minute after rating it, and honestly I don't know whether I might change it back!? I think this book is just really hard to rate if you're an adult - it's a very good book but I've never wanted to send a character to bed without any tea so badly! Everything bad that happens is down to Marinka's selfishness, and the consequences for her are negligible compared to those around her. I don't know how to feel at all because so much of it is beautiful! 3* is probably fair for my mixed feelings.
