In Falling for my Fake Kisser Neighbor both main characters come back to Norway from New-York for personal reasons. Maureen’s dad died, leaving her with debts, while Alex broke up with his girlfriend, creating  some public relation problems.
When I read the blurb and tropes, I had understood it was a cozy romance. I was hoping to travel to Norway, and for a cute little romance. However, this story quickly turns more like a soap (and not only because Maureen tries to make goat soap to save her farm in less than a month, forgetting how long you have to wait after saponification, probably). Events add one to another, and except for the cute farmer market scene, I couldn’t find the cozy or even small town vibes. If you like this kind of romances, where events keep happening in an endless avalanche, then you should like this story.
I could have done with it, but the MMC keeps imposing things on the MFC, which prevented ME from liking one or the other. Once again, it’s a personal preference, and if you like that kind of “protective” MMC character –who knows better than the MFC what is good for her– this story will make it for you.
