What a fresh, fun and sexy read!
Frankie is a sexologist who has her own podcast. She has an awesome group of girlfriends that are zany, fun and supportive.
Frankie has a disability and uses a wheelchair to get around. This part was really fresh and exciting in my opinion. Especially in such a sexy, hot romance with some BDSM elements. It’s something you don’t find often in romance, I really appreciate that and enjoyed that aspect of the story.
Jay has learned the art of Shibari (rope tying/rope play/bondage) Frankie is given his name as someone who could give her help with the subject on her podcast.
The two meet for “lessons “ and have instant chemistry. They don’t think they are compatible though. Jay doesn’t date or do relationships. Frankie is all about the relationship.
Their attraction deepens with friendship.
It’s a really sexy, fun, empowering and wonderful story!
I love both characters and their banter and conversations are really fun.
Their chemistry and sexy times are really hot and experimental.
Some serious issues do arise towards the end, they handle it with maturity. Not overly angsty or drawn out.
It’s a pretty quick read, it was a lighter, feel good romance for me. The BDSM elements weren’t dark to me, I think it would be a good/light introduction to someone wondering if that’s something they’d like to read.
I look forward to more in this series by this author.
*The author stated on her website that she’s a person living with a disability, I thought that was important to mention. I think that might reassure some people that the issues tackled came from a person who has experience and knowledge.
