Mr. Vertigo by Paul Auster

3.0

Sometimes I love Paul Auster (In the Country of Last Things, Book of Illusions, Oracle Night, Timbuktu) and sometimes he falls a little flat (I wasn't crazy about New York Trilogy). Mr. Vertigo started out with a lot of promise but seemed to run out of steam about halfway through. I actually put it aside and it slid under my bed where it sat for months. I finally finished it in the waiting room of my doctor's office and I have to admit, it was a relief to be done with it.
