i won't lie, i HATE reading a digital book so my reading experience was somewhat different than i would have liked it to be but this book is, was, and will continue to be incredibly powerful! i will always always always value an honest depiction of race and what it feels like to be a black girl in a pwi and the plight of starr and khalil is so emotional i just felt so connected to the book
Graphic: Police brutality, Drug abuse, Violence, Gun violence, Death, Addiction, Child death, Racism, and Physical abuse
