The book is so much better than the movie too much happens in it to cut down to 2 hours. I really fell in love with Elinor’s character in a way I haven’t since Pride and Prejudice. I felt  very connected to her throughout reading and really related to her. I struggle with Mariannes character more in the book than the movie I find her insufferable in the movie but I understood her better in the book.  I dont like the final couples. I dont like that they are both someone’s second choice. I get it but it makes me so sad and Elinor deserved so much better than she got. The way edward speaks about Lucy reads like a man who downplays his past relationships in a very toxic way. Overall I loved this book very much. I would put it as my second favorite full work of Austen’s the writing in this feels much more personal and real than some of her later novels
