"Into Thin Air," it's not. Krakauer spent three years finding out all there is to know about the history of Mormonism, especially the violent offshoots that have turned into cult-like enclaves. I'm glad I know about this deeply upsetting story. But, the pacing was slow and the telling was less than engaging. Should I read his book on Missoula? I'm not sure that I will.
