I'd just read a young adult series inspired by Sherlock Holmes called The Laws of Magic and it inspired me to re-read these stories. Conan Doyle was a fantastic descriptive writer and these mysteries are still engaging 120ish years later. Kind of tempted to go down a Conan Doyle rabbit hole now.
