Will I remember all of the facts about plants and trees given in this book? Definitely not, as I am not inclined to remember numbers and statistics like a scientist is, but I will forever look at trees differently. I knew they were alive but never knew how alive they truly are. This book helped illuminate that for me, and also gave some insight into what life is like for research scientists, something else I’ve never really given much thought to but will view differently from now on. As a whole I feel much more appreciative of the collective efforts of each scientist that has ever come along. What they do is important, and I wish they had endless funds even if it’s just to study and try to understand the world around us.
