this was a tough, but necessary, read.

it took me a while to get through this book. what ahed went through in her life is something that no teenager should go through. it breaks my heart that this happens to thousands of Palestinian children today. in between ahed's descriptions of her personal struggles, evidence and statistics about palestine were sort of shoved in, which didn’t really hinder my reading process, but wasn’t the most enjoyable. however, it was necessary for the book, and overall, it worked well in ahed’s favor.

for anyone wanting to learn more about palestine, especially with what’s going on at this moment, this is definitely a good start.

may allah give us a free palestine very soon 🇵🇸🫶🏼🕊️
