A gorgeous debut, so honest, tender, and vulnerable to love in all forms and the human condition. The book does not pretend to be something it is not and Gray does a beautiful job painting the physical and emotional experiences. I enjoyed how the protagonist shares their life in a way that speaks directly to the audience. In many ways, readers know how the books goes and even ends, and yet I kept reading on. The ending is beautiful and did not disappoint. Green dot is contemporary literature at its best. I serendipitously saw it at the front of a bookshop, picked it up, read it, and loved it. It is just the book I needed.
