I had a hard time keeping up with the worldbuilding. It seemed like nothing got fully explained and then there'd be another term or concept added. At one point I stopped to check if I had accidentally gotten the 2nd of a series. The idea seems really interesting, but I couldn't get into the book itself, which could very well just be based on my preferences.
