I feel like I’m too aware of baggage and things that need a good dose of therapy to enjoy this book. It was a complete drag to get through… and honestly there wasn’t a single character I liked through the whole book. I just met the characters and thought “you need therapy, and you therapy, and you need therapy!”

You’re supposed to like Delilah and identify with her childhood trauma and why she’s got such a chip on her shoulder….. but honestly I fricking hated her 100%. What trauma she has growing up and from being bullied,I can’t excuse her shitty behavior or for being responsible for her own goddamn actions. If this has been a book and not an audio book, I would have thrown it in the trash and moved on. We need to face facts about our own actions and what we do, so I was NOT willing to accept anything from Delilah and really she’s a horrible character. I can’t justify a shitty person doing shitty things, for maybe possibly good reasons.

I could go on a full rant about how each character sucks but I won’t. I’ve killed too much time with this book and I’m not going to waste any more.
