I feel like this story had a lot of potential, but fell flat in the end. It feels like a first draft; a good edit could do wonders. I liked Gorum and Donovan (and Dakkan, though his character felt extraneous), though I couldn't find any reason why they ended up together. There was next to no development of feelings for them, they seemed to just suddenly get thrown together. I'd love to see the author fix the story up, I think it could be really good, it just needs some work still.
